Nor'Wester by Greystone Pinot Noir 2018

We have run out of stock for this item.

Greystone are absolute wine legends who just don't make average wine. Its all good and some.

This little entry level Pinot Noir bursts with class without bursting the bank. "Nose of bright cherries, spice and a hint of smoky oak. The palate is warm and inviting showing luscious red berry flavours, velvety texture and an elegant fresh finish." Winery

"Delightfully fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows dark cherry, raspberry, thyme, toasted nut and subtle mushroom characters. The palate is equally satisfying with excellent weight and roundness, wonderfully supported by silky texture and fine-grained tannins, finishing persistent and very tasty. At its best: now to 2023." 5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, April 2020

"From vineyards 'scattered across the region', the 2018 vintage was grown at Waipara, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 10 months in French oak barriques. Ruby-hued, it is a mouthfilling, supple wine with moderately concentrated, gentle cherry, plum and spice flavours, nutty, savoury notes adding complexity, and a well-rounded finish. Best drinking mid-2021+." 4 Stars Michael Cooper
