Beautifully fresh and vibrant with barely of sniff of oak this wine has that lovely minerally thread running through it with notes of apple and lemon/ lime on the nose. Classic white burgundy that is only slightly fatter than Chablis.
Macon is starting to make a name for themselves amongst a very historic and expensive set.
A delicious village Chardonnay from the cheaper Macon in southern Burgundy. Here the slightly warmer climate makes aromatic, plump whites. But it still has Burgundy zing and freshness thanks to little oak and limestone-rich soils much like the region's most expensive vineyards to the north. A must to drink by itself in the afternoon, or especially with barbequed fish.
