Little Giant Grenache 2020

Nicholas Crampton has a knack for knocking out quality wines at an incredible price. Here's another straight up bargain from this serial wine entrepreneur. The Little Giant label falls under his Fourth Wave wine umbrella. These wines are made to be rich, bold and full bodied yet maintain great drinkability.

Yields were down in the Vale in 2020 due to extreme heat and poor flowering but the quality was excellent across the board. Resourceful use of irrigation helped throughout vintage and later ripening was a bonus ensuring fruit was at optimum when it came to picking. 2020 will be a vintage to enjoy now or cellar in the medium term.

Tasting Note: The Little Giant Grenache just keeps getting better. A wine that is both mouth-filling yet medium weight with ripe fruited intensity. Vital red and dark berry fruit underpinned by hints of chocolate and integrated oak. The palate delivers tight-knit tannins and ensures a lasting flavour of berries, vanilla and freshly ground spices.
