It is the last of the Soler Chardonnay to be produced but what a way to go out!!
"I tasted this wine in April 2020 when it had just been released - or about to be. Since then - this wine wine has evolved and become more integrated and complex, detailed and fine. Aromas and flavours of heirloom peach and grapefruit, lemon and lees, a fine flinty mineral layer and fresh raw cashew nut oak quality. Complex, silky and delicious on the palate with a lovely balance between fruit and wood, acidity and baking spices of oak. Great length and finish - a fine wine. Best drinking from mid to late 2021 through 2024." Rated Excellent & 95/100 Cameron Douglas MS, January 2021
"An upfront and confident Hawke’s Bay chardonnay with flint notes, bold spice and stonefruit notes on the nose. All of these provide the perfect opening stanza for what unfolds into a powerfully built, ripe, rich long and vibrant palate with wonderful texture." 5 Stars & Top 5 Cuisine Chardonnay Tasting, October 2020
The 2018/2019 growing season has produced a wine showing concentration, fragrance and restraint. Citrus, yellow stone fruit, roasted nuts and seductive flint combine on a finely styled and textured palate. Showing vibrancy, balance and background complexity this Chardonnay will continue to age gracefully over time. Winery
