Having Freedom in our name allows us to do things a bit differently but one thing will always remain the same, our goal to match the best wine to all types of people.
It is a space where wine and people are free to meet. And it’s a platform that promotes the freedom of choice, where you can find wine that best suits you rather than a bottle someone else wants you to have.
Wine is not just something that sits on a shelf, it’s more a story waiting to be enjoyed.
Every now and then we get a wine we must shout about a bit more. Mainly this is to do with the extraordinary value it offers...
“Possibly the single greatest red wine values in the world" - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. Issue #203
The grapes used for Borsao Tinto Selección come from young vines, between 15 and 25 years old. These are found on clay-limestone, stony and loamy soils.
Borsao Tinto Selección goes through a maceration for 3 or 4 days. The resulting wine is one that only promotes the 'class in a glass' that Spanish Garnacha provides. This wine is normally priced higher but we are excited to offer at an everyday price.
All the vineyards are planted at relatively high elevations above 1,300 feet. The soils tend to be poor in organic material, but high in chalk/limestone intermixed with sand, iron and gravel. The hallmark of the Borsao wines are their unmanipulated, fresh, lively fruit character." Parkers Wine Advocate.
