"The 2024 Sons of the Soil Sauvignon Blanc is sweaty and pungently intense on the nose, with white cabbage, soy-soaked enoki mushroom, kiwi fruit and guava, mustard seeds and celery. In the mouth, the wine is all passion fruit and remarkably intense fruit. It's a powerhouse. I'd probably enjoy a little more restraint, but the intensity and drive of this wine are quite astonishing and will impress many. I am finding myself reaching for descriptors here that I would also apply to things like Barossa Valley Shiraz: palate-staining, ultra intense, powerful.
