This also happens to be the style of a group of lesser-known wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon region, an area that spans from Nîmes to Spain, just west of the French Riviera. A very old French white wine variety that’s recently become increasingly popular for its lip-zapping white wines that pair perfectly with shellfish and fried foods.

Selected by a MW as one of the finest Picpoul from the Languedoc region. An Appellation that has in recent years come back into much favour & flavour!  

Pale golden colour with a greenish glint. White blossom and ripe citrus notes of lemon zest, with a vivid and fruity palate and a long mineral finish. A bright and zippy white… think Muscadet from the warmer south of France.
