"Incredible Lanolin, quince, summer flower and honeysuckle scents, and a palate that indulges us further with plums, oranges and guava. Spices and minerals hold the attention and the finish is drawn with lapidary care. A true classic." 97/100 Decanter DWWA
Champagne Brut vintage 2006 from Maison CASTELNAU is elaborated from a blend composed of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier. An exceptional cellar aging period of more than 10 years confer to this champagne a remarkable aromatic depth.
Vintage 2006 offers wonderful grilled and toasted notes with an intense aromatic harmony. It is very luminous and its minty shades brings a lot of lightness to this slightly buttered sensation.
The palate first develops a crystalline impression. The Chardonnays’ imprint from the Grande Montagne de Reims distinguish itself with power and warmth. The citrus notes bring a superb freshness. The gentle spicy notes of the final characterize the style of the house.

"A blend dominated by Chardonnay and aged for 11 years on lees has produced a mature, toasty and yeasty wine with a complex balance between the secondary flavours and the still-crisp apple fruits. Drink now."
