McArthur Ridge Southern Tor Pinot Noir 2020

Not sure where to start as there is just too many Trophies in the way.

There is so much to say and promote about this weeks feature wine. Firstly we would like to congratulate McArthur Ridge and Matt Connell in winning these accolades for an Alexandra sited Pinot Noir.  Are we seeing the emergence of this sub regional Central Otago area amongst the more prolific sites like Gibbston Valley and the Cromwell basin?

The 2020 wine has just about taken every Trophy and award it could since being released. This is detailed below and also you will notice there is a new label for this brand.  Its likes its got dressed up for all the award ceremonies it needed to attend.

You will also get the opportunity to taste a wee sample between 4pm-6pm this Thursday for an 'instore pour'.

"A new Central Otago star is born. Bright ruby/purple in the glass, the palate is full of black cherries, smoky oak and gamey characters. Already a delicious Pinot Noir but there are years of cellaring ahead. Another top effort from Champion Winemaker Matt Connell." NZWIS judges

"A heady, inviting fragrant nose of summer pudding, wild thyme, raspberries and a sprinkling of spice. The palate is supple, juicy, vibrant and soft with cranberry acidity." 96/100 International Wine Challenge, Judges

A bit of history in the making here so you better a grab a bottle or 12 and be a part of it...
