Multi golds previously make for some impressive pedigree. Unfortunately the hype is not followed by joyous volumes. We have our allocation in store so make the most quickly.
A delicious Cabernet full of blackberry, thyme and chocolate with cedar notes. It is impressively concentrated and plush, and delivers excellent fruit power and rich dark fruit intensity, wonderfully enhanced by velvety mouthfeel and a long succulent finish.
Off 22 and 50 year old vines. 9 day open ferment with regular pump overs. Basket pressed. 15 months in French and American oak (30% new). Bottled without fining in July 2021.
Lifted aromas of red and black fruits, subtle perfume and wood spice. Flavours of blackberry and raspberry. Some earth and a little spice. Medium to full bodied, plush through the palate with fine grained tannins and a subtle wood spice finish.
